As we move into the age where we all need to look at sustainable sources of energy instead of relying on sources such as Oil, Gas & Petrol it's time to think very carefully at the alternative methods of producing electricity & heat. It doesn't have to cost the earth (Literally!) to use natural sources of power!
During this series of workshops we will guide you through the alternative energies available for varying budgets so you can start to use Alternative Energies immediately!.
We will answer some of the questions you have about alternative energy making it much easier for you to have these things working for you in your home.
For Example: what size of Solar Panel do I need?, how much Battery storage?, How can I make my own Mains 240 volts electricity? what are the different types of Solar Cell available? how much will it cost, How can I make my Own wind generator to make electricity? methane? Bio Diesel? Alcohol fuel? what is Bio Mass? what can I run my car on? can I make my own fuel? stand-by generators? what is a regulator? what is a Solar cooker? Solar water purifier, Stirling engines, Water power, wheels and turbines .....etc... etc.. etc..
we will also be introducing some of the EXPERIMENTS and DISCOVERIES that we have made about WOOD GAS, surely to be a major player in the Appropriate Energies field, this fantastic form of energy we discover......can also CLEAN the environment of CO2 in vast quantities!
During this first Workshop we will be covering many Alternatives , so you can get a feel for what is available and what may be APPROPRIATE for you.
As usual there will be a great deal of 'HANDS ON' and construction during the Weekend.
On Each of the Alternative Energies Weekends you will build a functional Alternative Energy device for you to keep and use!

and giving you a good grounding in the Alternative energies field to enable you to advise and inspire others.
